MEET & GREET

Baby’s first outing is often also the first time for your loved ones to all be in the same place at the same time. Whether a Bris, a Mundan, or perhaps a baptism, there is always a reason for families to come together and celebrate a new life and exciting beginnings. Whether you’re an active participant or a welcome guest – we’re sharing the best inspiration for what to wear and gifts to bring.

WHAT TO WEAR

MeetGreet

This calls for a smart and breezy look and pieces that will work with a flat or a block heel (we’re not interested in sinking into the grass all day).

Taking advantage of warmer weather, you’ll need a look that’s appropriate for a slightly more formal (and in some cases, conservative) event but one that can still be worn in the heat and on more than one occasion.MEET & GREET – Baby’s first event

Floral prints are strong this season and brands like Borgo de Nor and Emilia Wickstead are no-fail choices for joyous, warm weather events and will be pulled from your wardrobe again and again.

Religious

Oftentimes the first formal meet and greet revolves around a religious ceremony and as such, you may need to be slightly more considered in your choices. Covering your shoulders and dresses that cut below the knee are often considered appropriate so taking a pashmina or light jacket is a safe choice if you opt for a sleeveless dress.

WHAT TO BRING

This is the fun part. When you’re shopping for your own little ones you need to be a more practical than when it comes to gift shopping. Sweet toys, playful teething tools and fun accessories are a gift for both mum and baby and gives you the chance to give a gift that they mightn’t think of buying themselves. And, if all else fails, you can never have too many swaddles!
